- If your a teenager looking to learn programming, just ask yourself, are you
- willing to sit down, turn up the Nine Inch Nails, and get to work? Can you
- handle math and logic problems? Are you willing to spend the time and effort
- and frustration to get this stuff figured out? If so maybe spend like 3 or 4
- days on Pascal or Basic just to get familiar about what it is all about. If
- you already know what a variable and an array is, then screw it, go to C++.
- Whether you start with C or C++ is irrelevant, learning one will allow you to
- learn the other with ease.
-
- If you don't get a rush from the little things like getting 'cout' figured out,
- or dynamically allocating a structure for the first time, then look into
- politics or something. Computers aren't for you anyway.
-
- Also, if you still find DOS confusing, programming isn't for you. I see a lot
- of kids who want to learn programming or at least brag about their abilities
- with computers, but really these kids are just fat lazy dorks who think there
- cool cause they download hacking programs from AOL. Sorry for the digression,
- excuse me, I am only a teenager :)
